So let's get into what's been trending this week, okay?

SPEAKER_09

Let's get to it.

SPEAKER_11

Yep, the first topic is Trim and Nicki Minaj. Now, is it copying? You know, is Trim copying Nicki? Is she copying while seamlessly dissing Nicki Minaj? We gotta talk about it. So, what are your thoughts? Did you know about Trim? Have you heard about Trim? What do you know?

SPEAKER_09

First of all, I don't know who the hell Trim is. Um, I didn't know who she was until you played me that song. And that song she had is actually a pretty good song. I like the song.

SPEAKER_05

By nobody. I got niggas upset with my whole body. Say you wanna buy me a nobody, even though he fell in love with my old body. I can't be putting but just say nobody's I need a nigga that only got low bodies. If you catch me up, if you want to take pictures, make sure that you take a whole body.

SPEAKER_09

Um, she actually can rap. She does give me a little bit of Nikki. Well, you know, she gives me a little bit of that old Nikki feel.

SPEAKER_11

Um, you asked me, is it Is Trim copying Nikki while seamlessly dissing Nikki?

SPEAKER_09

She did make a diss track, right?

SPEAKER_11

No, she has not called it a diss track.

SPEAKER_09

She was talking, she made she threw subliminal shots, right?

SPEAKER_11

Yeah, allegedly, yes. Because some people say it's for Bunna B. Some people say it's for Nicki Minaj. They haven't really been able to put a finger on it.

SPEAKER_09

I don't know who the hell Bunna B is. Yeah, me neither. Uh if she is this and Nikki, I don't think Nikki should respond to her because didn't you say Nikki like told her followers not to follow her or something like that?

SPEAKER_11

Yeah, if she was unfollowing barbs that followed Trim.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, see, that's that's doing too much. You're giving her too much light already. And it's like you you giving her too much light for somebody who don't want her to have light. So why are you even bringing her to your to people's attention? Like, even the the little bit of people that do know her, you know, that's whatever. But now you're making other people like wonder who she is because people are gonna look her up to figure out, oh, who is she? Why you don't like her? And I just think she shouldn't give her no attention if she don't want to put no light on her. Cause I just try to know who the girl was last week. And as far as, you know, it being copied or inspiration, I feel like I feel like sometimes it could be both. Like, you probably can you gotta be inspired by somebody to copy him. Like, Jay-Z used to copy Biggie all the time. Like, and he used to always say it's like, you know, he bigging up his brother. He is, you know, he was inspired by him. And also, she could look up to Nicki Minaj. Sometimes your idols become your rivals.

SPEAKER_11

Okay, Lotto.

SPEAKER_09

And we've seen it with don't disrespect Drake like that.

SPEAKER_11

That's what Lotto said.

SPEAKER_09

But she got it from Drake. Don't ever in your life disrespect Drake like that. Lord. So that's, and we seen that with you, you know, we see that with Lotto and um Nikki, and we also seen that with Drake. I mean, Lotto and Cardi. And we see that with Drake and Jay-Z right now. Like, sometimes your people that you look up to, once you get to a certain level, they become, you know, your rivals because now y'all on, now y'all on the on the same playing field. But as far as this trim girl goes, I don't think Nikki should be giving her any type of like, and I'm not really a big Nicki Minaj fan, but like, come on, man. It's it's it's it's it's it's bigger people shooting at Nikki who she needs to be worried about. She shouldn't be worried about somebody that's named after giving head, because that's what trim is.

SPEAKER_11

You know, honestly, do you know that what you said just kind of ring bells in my head as far as you not liking her or you not, you know, feeling her or telling your friends or fans to unsubscribe to her is giving her attention because people would say that that's what Nikki did to Cardi B. You know, it's been alleged that um Cardi said that, you know, people in the game and people have said that she was talking about Nicki Minaj, but this hasn't been confirmed. That she said that, you know, people are trying to crush her mic. There was a clip going around of Cardi basically saying, you know, a lot of people in the game are trying to crush her mic, and people are saying that, you know, it was Nicki Minaj early on.

SPEAKER_13

Suck my dick now because I'm I'm a fake ass somebody. And everybody be like, oh yeah, Cardi, I love you, I fuck with you. But y'all dead ass wishing my fucking mic was crushed, but it's not gonna happen because I know how to rap.

SPEAKER_11

That's why she got on that stage with Remy Ma, did the whole little sheet the disc and everything.

SPEAKER_13

You gonna give me fuck a fishing door, like the plot. Now come aside, little bitch. Yeah, what the fuck is that?

SPEAKER_11

Um, saying that Nikki was trying to crush her mic early on, and that is what gave Cardi B the push, allegedly. They're saying that, you know, Nikki seemingly not messing with Cardi from the gate is what people, what made people kind of look and say, hey, is this girl, you know, the next big thing? And that's what set Cardi B to be able to replace Nicki Minaj, allegedly.

SPEAKER_09

I don't agree with that because I think Nikki, I I think Nikki, I do believe Nikki probably was trying to, you know, what you say, crush her mic, stop her mic or whatever. I do believe that she was Nikki was trying to do that, but I think that that came after Cardi B became, start start getting a little buzz. I don't think, I think Nikki started hating on Cardi because she started getting the buzz. I don't think I don't think Cardi became big because of Nikki because Cardi was like, she had a like Cardi has been popular since she came on the screen 11 hip hop. Cardi was popular before she came on the screen 11 hip hop. Like, I remember when the trailer 11 hip hop came out and people was like, who is that girl right there? When she had that bitch beef with me, she gonna be beefing with me forever. Since that moment, Cardi was a star.

SPEAKER_13

And who is this girl? I'd be damned if you ever bring her to one of our books and all that is. No, it's not all of that. No, no, it's not onto that. You know what? A girl had beef with me, she gonna have beef with me forever.

SPEAKER_09

I don't think, I don't think like Nikki pushed her to start him, but I do think Nikki was hating on her. Yeah, of course. Nikki was the Nikki, you gotta think about it. For for Nikki was was the only female, the only relevant female rapper for a long time until Cardi B came. And then Cardi B came and basically opened the door for a whole new wave of women after that because she started making these Cardi got popular and started doing what Nikki wouldn't do when Nikki had the game in her hands. She started working with all these girls and name and it made them popular. It made like female rap is a at is at its highest right now because of I feel like, you know, Cardi. Like they gave they gave the right person the baton and she ran with it and she opened the door for females.

SPEAKER_11

But do you think that, you know, a lot of people are saying that Cardi B would have been a reality TV star? You know, of course she would have been popping, but she would have been a reality TV star, maybe a model, you know, may have been, you know, uh influencer, you know, as far as her being big in rap, people are alleging that Nicki Minaj has something to do with that. Her level of hate. Every time Nikki hates somebody or dislikes somebody, Nikki is the kind of personality that's so loved and hated that her mere hate has shin light on females or women that may have not been getting that look.

SPEAKER_09

But the the thing about it is I can't say that that's why Cardi is popping, because Nicki Minaj was doing that to girls before Cardi, and none of them got popping.

SPEAKER_11

But was Cardi respected as a female rapper? If you remember, DJ self didn't even believe in Cardi at that time.

SPEAKER_15

Definition of friendship. Let me tell you something. I don't need self, I don't need nobody to be successful. I went from stripping to be here by myself. Go f this up, homie. You're gonna be real tight when I'm on that other level. You will see. Why would I be tight? You know, listen, but I would tell you. I don't want to be tight because there's only white people and then you go to jail. And me and I would tell you that. Goodbye.

SPEAKER_09

And that's TV stuff though. Like, Cardi got popping. Like, as soon as that bulldog yellow dropped, Cardi took off. That didn't have nothing to do with nobody hating on her. Like, it just took off. It kind of was surprising. Like, it was surprising.

SPEAKER_11

Now, I don't want this conversation to just simply be us saying, oh, is she copying? I want to challenge the entire conversation. You know, people online are saying that Nikki did the same thing to little Kim. Now, I don't agree, but my opinion wasn't, oh, okay, if Nikki copied Little Kim, you know, this is fine. Um, I don't think it's okay. If Nikki was copying Kim, then it wasn't okay when Nikki did it. Now that Trim is copying Nikki, I don't think it's okay that Trim's doing it. You know, bad behavior doesn't become acceptable simply because, you know, it happened before. But what do you think about the little Kim aspect? Because people have been saying that online.

SPEAKER_09

I think uh copying is a form of flattery, and I think that instead of Imitation, yes. Yeah, imitation is a form of flattery, and I and instead instead of getting mad at somebody's imitating you, like why don't you embrace it like that somebody is inspired by you or wants to look up to you? The Nikki in the little Kim situation is a whole different situation in this situation.

SPEAKER_11

Does it excuse what Trim is doing then?

SPEAKER_09

Because they're saying, hey, Nikki did We already know Nikki is a hypocrite, though. Who like she's a hypocrite? Like who gives a f what she thinks? She's a hypocrite. People she she she's done stuff to people and then got mad when people turn around and did it to her. So she's a hypocrite. Nikki.

SPEAKER_11

Now I know you're not very much so a Nikki fan. Why does it seem like every new female rapper starts by sounding like Nikki? Why does it also seem like they eventually diss Nikki? Um, why, you know, I just think there's a difference between influence and intimidation, you know? Is Trim inspired or is she intimidating?

SPEAKER_09

I don't know enough enough about this trim f to give you an answer to that.

SPEAKER_11

Because even the whole thing as far as a lot of people sounding like Nikki, you don't think a lot of people have copied her cadence?

SPEAKER_09

Hell no.

SPEAKER_11

Even the weird voices and the city.

SPEAKER_09

This is the whole this is the first person I've heard rap like that sound like Nikki. Who sounds like Nikki? Who who put popping right now sound like Nikki?

SPEAKER_11

Some people say that a few of Lotto verses have copied Nikki.

SPEAKER_09

People say Lotto copy Drake. Come on, man.

SPEAKER_11

That's what I'm saying. So a lot of people have been, you know, come in. Even Doja Cat, Doja Cat has a song called Get Into It. Some people say that she's copied Nikki or been inspired by Nikki. All these women are Nikki's sons. But you know, I think that's a bigger conversation. Um, the bigger question is, you know, people defend Trim by saying that Nikki did it first. My question is, should someone receive bad treatment simply because they once treated someone else badly? Um, or should we just be trying to break the cycle, you know? So I would say, do you think the fans are right? Is this just hip hop? Does Nikki deserve this? Does Nikki even need to respond?

SPEAKER_09

Who? What fans?

SPEAKER_11

Trim's fans? Are you is that what you're referring to?

SPEAKER_09

What fans? Are you talking about Nikki Winajas fans? Is it like both?

SPEAKER_11

Trim has fans now. She's been in New York.

SPEAKER_09

I don't know who Trim is.

SPEAKER_11

Most you may not know her, but she was on freshman year, you know.

SPEAKER_09

What is freshman year?

SPEAKER_11

This it's the I believe it's a magazine where Oh, you're talking about freshman cover.

SPEAKER_09

You're talking about uh double XL freshman.

SPEAKER_11

Exactly. Yes, she was on that, she's up and coming. But she oh, has it?

SPEAKER_09

Yes. Like, come on, man.

SPEAKER_11

But she's, you know, right now in New York, you know, sh New York is showing her a lot of love. And she's not even really from New York.

SPEAKER_09

Man, shout out Lola Brooks.

SPEAKER_11

Wow. Okay, okay. Well, speaking of female rap, let's talk about Mana Leo. Yes, Mana Leo. First, I want to give Mana Leo her flowers. Honestly, she's just absolutely amazing, you know.

SPEAKER_09

I love Mana Leo. Yep, she's shout out to Stutter for Vegas. That's my favorite couple, by the way, Mana Leo. Studd for Vegas.

SPEAKER_11

Okay. Well, she's quietly putting together one of the strongest female rap runs right now, you know?

SPEAKER_09

She's been around. It's crazy because she's been around for a minute. She's she's she's a late bloomer. People just now like really like paying attention to her, but she's been around for a minute. Like, I think she like she I remember Mana Leo before she, I don't know if she got her body done or if she just gained weight or whatever. I don't want to put any type of stipulations on her, but I remember Mana Leo when she didn't have no titties.

SPEAKER_11

Yes. Now she has hits with everything pink.

SPEAKER_09

I hate that song, by the way.

SPEAKER_11

I love that song. Um, with Leo. Um, you know, I don't think enough people are just talking about her, you know.

SPEAKER_09

I think um, I mean it depends on who you want talking about her. Like, who who needs to be talking about her? Like, because I feel like I feel like she's starting to get mentioned in in, you know, in the conversation when it comes to female rap, but I feel like um, I feel like female rap is dominated by, you know, outside of Nicki Minaj, I feel like female rap is dominated by a certain few female rappers right now. So if you even mention in a conversation with them particular people, then like I feel like you doing you doing something. I feel like I feel like Mona Leo get I don't I mean everybody probably deserves more a little more respect, but I I feel like people are, you know, starting to um notice her in a sense.

SPEAKER_11

I would say colorism, you know. I really want to have this conversation. Is Mona Lee? Yep, is Mana Leo overlooked because she's a darker skinned black woman? Um she's not even that dark. She's about the same color as Megan Estallion. Would her career look different if she looked different? Does colorism still exist in hip-hop? Does image still determine who becomes the superstar or is it simply marketing? Now, I also feel as though, you know, Megan Estallion would be further as well, in my humble opinion. Further than what? Do you think colorism still exists?

SPEAKER_09

No, I don't think colorism exists in rap. I don't think colorism ever existed in female rap. Maybe in RB, not a rap. The very first female artist, the very, very first female rapper name was MC Shira. She was dark-skinned. You have uh Missy Elliott, Lauren Hill, uh Remy Ma, Foxy Brown. These are all dark skinned legends. As a matter of fact, two of the women who won Rap Artists of the Year, Doce and Lauren Hill, are both dark-skinned. What are you talking about?

SPEAKER_11

No, I think that colorism exists in hip-hop, and and hip-hop is a male-dominated field.

SPEAKER_09

Colorism does definitely don't exist. If you want to say colorism exists, female rap. If you want to say colorism exists, colorism, do you understand what colorism is, right?

SPEAKER_11

Yes, I know I know what.

SPEAKER_09

So colorism means that you get you get um better opportunities. Basically, this is not verbatim the definition, but it's basically saying that you get more opportunities because of your lighter skin. If you want to say colorism exists and rap, then it's the opposite, then, because more dark-skinned rappers have dominated than light-skinned rappers.

SPEAKER_11

I think that they could have been bigger. They could have been moguls. Who could have been bigger? The female rappers. What are you talking about? Female Elliot. Female, nope, she's she she's not even a female rap mogul.

SPEAKER_09

Missy Elliott is literally the only female rap mogul.

SPEAKER_11

What are you talking about? I don't, I I do not believe that she's where she could have been, in my humble opinion. I think her being a dark-skinned woman really played a part in her name's light-skinned rap legends.

SPEAKER_09

I'm listening. Like names are light-skinned female rap legends.

SPEAKER_11

And that's what I'm saying. That's why female rap has not gone. Right now, Cardi B is doing something that no other female rapper has been able to do. And a lot of people feel as though it's because she's Hispanic. That's what people are saying.

SPEAKER_09

That's what I'm saying.

SPEAKER_11

They don't have a lot of female rap rap legends in it, in its own.

SPEAKER_09

But you can't make you can't sit up here and say this if you don't even have an example of what you're saying.

SPEAKER_11

I'm saying that for Cardi B to get the shine that she's gotten, the, you know, like just look that she's gotten. And I'm a big Cardi fan, but I also feel as though that that's colorism. Why are these other black, dark-skinned rap girls not doing the thing? Like who? That they should, like a Mana Leo. Mana Leo is very talented, very amazing.

SPEAKER_09

Mana Leo just got just really just start blowing up though.

SPEAKER_11

Mileyo has been grinding for a minute, though.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, she has been grinding for a minute. But you understand that, like, well, all right, besides Mana Leo, who else?

SPEAKER_11

That is you said Megan Estallion.

SPEAKER_09

Megan Stallion is part of the as part of the part of the big floor. What are you talking about?

SPEAKER_11

Yeah, but we're gonna go to the Billboard list. She wasn't even, she was the last on the list if we're really discussing it. But you know what?

SPEAKER_09

Because her her her pro her her likability has gone down a lot.

SPEAKER_11

I'm glad that you said this. So speaking of female rap, right, Billboard recently released a list, you know, that got everybody talking. So let's talk about this, okay? Billboard's hottest female rappers of 2026 so far, right? What Billboard says this list is basically based on, right? According to Billboard, staff ranks are based on a combination of record quality, a combination of chart performance, a combination of cultural impact, business, you know, ventures, um, brand partnership, um, as hottest female rappers of 2026 so far, you know. Um, the list is not the all-time greatest, right? So this I'm just letting you know what is based on before we even get down to the list. Now, the list. Number one, Cardi B. Number two, Young Miami Chow. Number three, sexy red, number four, Monole. Number five, Dochi, number six, Lotto, number seven, Trim. Number eight, YK Nice. Number nine, Molly Santana, and number ten, Megan the Stallion.

SPEAKER_09

Who the f is Molly Santana?

SPEAKER_11

Who the f is YK niece?

SPEAKER_09

YK niece is that one girl that uh that win whimmy.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, yeah. But this is for 2026, so I get it. It's not like they're talking about this year, so alright, Cardi B being number one, I I'm cool with that. Young Miami being number two, I'm cool with that. Young Miami is having a big fucking year. She's having a great year right now. Sexy Red being number three, I think that's fair too. I think Mana Leo being number four is fair. I think Doce. See, the thing about Dochi, Doce, Dochi makes really good music, but Doce is not really like, I don't think her, like, she's not really like um um, she's not big, like, you know, like social media wise. Like, I don't even know. I don't know about her album sales, but I don't know if she's I don't know if she like sells a lot of albums or anything like that, but she did wear a Grammy for best rap artist. But winning Grammys don't always equate to the most popular person.

SPEAKER_11

So the Matt Gala kind of branded her as a very rude.

SPEAKER_09

And I don't like Doce. I don't like her personally, but a very rude artist.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, she's kind of another one, like that, and another one.

SPEAKER_09

Lotto being number six. I'm kind of cool with that because Lotto had, you know, Lotto had that um that slow rollout, that rollout from being pregnant or whatever. Like she, you know, she was she disappeared for about nine months because she was pregnant. Uh I just got on Trim. I'm gonna have to check her out if she because she even made this list. YK Nice, I would put her above Tram just because I know who she is. Megan Estallion being number 10, I'm not even gonna speak on Molly, I don't know who the fuck that is. Megan Estallion being number 10, the fact that Megan Estallion even made this list is kind of like saying something because she kind of been quiet this year. So the fact that she even made this list, but I'm gonna tell you what I got a problem with this list. Everybody that's on this list needs to be bumped down one spot. Because they got Doja Cat fucked up.

SPEAKER_11

Okay. So you think Doja sh like The thing about Doja Cat is not Doja didn't even make the list.

SPEAKER_09

And I don't see how the fuck she didn't make the list. I think, but I think the thing with Doja Cat is I think a lot of people don't really consider her a rapper.

SPEAKER_11

Okay.

SPEAKER_09

And I think that might be that my I'm just that's just my assumption. I think a lot of people don't really consider Doja Cat a rapper. I think they kind of give her that like like um one of my homeboys told me this, and I didn't agree with him only because I consider this person a rapper, but one of my homeboys say that Doja Cat is like a female Drake because you really don't know what genre to put her in. But I think a lot of people put, I think a lot of people, and I understand that, but I think a lot of people put Drake in the rap category more so than anything else. But I feel like Doja Cat, a lot of her big hits was was RB songs. Like, um, what's that um that silhouette song?

SPEAKER_03

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_09

Um She's a melodic. Yeah, she's a more melodic type of person, so I understand that. But Doja Cat raps too, and Doja Cat can't rap, and I love Doja Cat. I feel like Doja Cat is, I feel like right now when it comes to female rap, her and Cardi B is like neck and neck right now.

SPEAKER_11

Okay, in your opinion, huh?

SPEAKER_09

Yeah.

SPEAKER_11

Okay. So the things that immediately stood out to me is Cardi B is number one. Young Miami all the way to number two.

SPEAKER_09

Young Miami is having a big fucking year though.

SPEAKER_11

Monoleo in top five.

SPEAKER_09

Remember, this is for this year.

SPEAKER_11

Okay, Megan, you know, all the way down to number 10. Um, Nicki Minaj not being included at all. Has Nicki Minaj dropped a song this year? Glorilla not included.

SPEAKER_09

Glorilla been having a quiet year or two. Glorilla, Glorilla just, see, they they Glorilla just started dropping like music like the last couple months.

SPEAKER_11

Why K Nece making the list while still um being an emerging artist?

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, but I say she's I say she probably like she had one of the biggest songs this year, though.

SPEAKER_11

So I think the bigger discussion is what exactly is Billboard measuring, right? Popularity, who's the hottest right now? Streaming, impact, influence, business, brand deals, touring. Because depending on the criteria, the ranking completely changes, right? So does this list make sense to you?

SPEAKER_09

If you're going by all that, yeah, but the list makes sense to me, especially with the with the with the number one or two people. Okay. I think I don't know Is Cardi number one? I believe Cardi is number one. And I and I believe, like, I believe, I like outside of my doja kind of argument, because I like I don't think a lot of people would consider her a rapper. I if we're just taking her out the equation, I think Cardi B is clearly number one because, like, for it's Cardi B. Like Cardi B, I feel like it's it's a few artists, right, that when they drop, the world stops. And I feel like Cardi B is one of them people. I feel like I could put her, like, in my opinion, Jay-Z, um, I did used to have Kanye West on this list. I don't have him on his list anymore, but Jay-Z, uh, Rihanna, Beyonce, um, I would say Lady Gaga, um, Taylor Swift. I would put Cardi B on that list of people. When she drops, the world stops. Everybody, Drake obviously on that list, but um, when they when they drop, the world stops. Everybody pays attention to what they're doing. People move their release dates around based off these people dropping.

SPEAKER_11

But should Nikki have been included?

SPEAKER_09

Nikki hasn't done anything this year. This is 2026.

SPEAKER_11

Okay, so you're saying just off the year, she shouldn't have been included.

SPEAKER_09

It just said 2026, right?

SPEAKER_11

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, so you can't, you you gotta go off of what's going on this year. Then we only halfway through the year at that point.

SPEAKER_11

But didn't Glow just drop a song?

SPEAKER_09

That's why I said Glow Rilla just started dropping music.

SPEAKER_11

So, because that was my thing. It's like why Glow Rilla isn't on here.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, Glow Rilla had a quiet, been been having a quiet year too. I can't remember a song Megan and Stallion dropped this year.

SPEAKER_11

Okay. But then is YK Neys being ranked too early?

SPEAKER_09

It's for this year. It's not you can't, so when you when you're going off of just when when you put certain language into something, you have to take it for what it is.

SPEAKER_11

But that's what I'm saying.

SPEAKER_09

If we're just going off of this year, that my man is. You can't name 10 other people that that that that's that's did something outside of her.

SPEAKER_11

Didn't Megan drop my man, my man, my man, my.

SPEAKER_09

Oh yeah, that didn't drop. But but that song got that's that song right there is probably what got her on the list.

SPEAKER_11

What about the Tawa to Takashiwa stars? Stars.

SPEAKER_09

Wasn't that last year?

SPEAKER_11

No, I think it was I think that was last year.

SPEAKER_09

I think that my man dropped this year, though, but but that song right there is probably why she got made. I and I she dropped my man. That was a big song, but I feel like that was the only song she dropped this year. So that's why I said her even being on the list says a lot.

SPEAKER_11

Now, my thing is I don't mind people disagreeing. I just want consistency, right? If this is about who's hot right now, just say that, you know. If it's about impact, say that.

SPEAKER_09

But I think they did say that by telling you 2026.

SPEAKER_11

If it's about popularity, say that.

SPEAKER_09

If Cardi B didn't, if Cardi B wasn't didn't drop or whatever, or or wasn't, you know, because Cardi B also, because and Cardi B, if I'm not mistaken, when did Cardi drop her album? I think this year. Was it this year? Yeah. But she also went on tour this year. So so they they're going off that too. She had a big tour this year.

SPEAKER_11

I just think that they just let's define the criteria. You know, before we argue the ranking, let's define the criteria, let that be the buzz before, you know, the people come out. But speaking of women making moves in music, let's talk about Lotto, you know. Lotto and Doja, you know, just did their little one-two step, you know, new visuals. You know, you and Lotto was on a break. You know, you guys were going through a very hard time in y'all's relationship.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, man. Lotto messed around and got pregnant on me, man. Yeah, so it's been a hard, it's been it's been hard for me to get over, man. I I I love Lotto, you know. Um, I don't love her more than I love you. But you know, in the fantasy world, I love Lotto. And like I listened to a lot of her music. Like, she hurt my heart when she got pregnant. Even that, like, I didn't even, I couldn't even, I still I listened to her album one time, and you know that's not like me. You're a big Lotto fan, that's your baby. But I ain't gonna lie, the seeing this Lotto and Doja Cat video, starting us off enough for her again.

SPEAKER_11

Listen, Lotto recently released the music video for her collaboration with Doja Cat, you know, continuing her rollout for her, you know, album. Um, the collaboration immediately got people just talking because it brings together two of the biggest female rappers in the industry.

SPEAKER_09

You know why that song was hot though?

SPEAKER_11

Why?

SPEAKER_09

Because of Doja. Like Doja got the Doja went crazy on that song. And that's what that song was what made me like start having like having these thoughts in my head. Like, is it time for us to say for us to let like get Doja her real flowers? Like, I feel like Doja Doja Cat has a a real crazy fucking fan base. Like, first of all, they just announced that Lotto's gonna be on a second leg of her North America tour. So they're gonna be, she's adding her to dates in um United States and Canada. They're coming up here October 4th, Minneapolis, and October 4th, I believe. We definitely gonna see that. I feel like Doja Cat has a big following already because the fact that she can't even do the Target Center by herself is crazy. Like people don't consider her a rapper.

SPEAKER_11

Now, I want to talk about the visuals itself, right? Um, I want to talk about the collaboration, things that I want to discuss. I want to first start with did the visuals live up to the hype, in your opinion?

SPEAKER_09

I think they did. They could have left the niggas out of it. Yeah, it really did.

SPEAKER_11

It was very sexualized, right?

SPEAKER_09

That's all a lot of always sexualized, though. And I feel like Doja Cat's always sexualized. I feel like that was just a perfect match.

SPEAKER_11

I think Doja does it in a tasteful way, you know?

SPEAKER_09

Sometimes, not all the time, did Doja add to the record? I think Doja Cat stole it, stole the record. Mmm, okay. I think that's that's Doja Cat. I think like that song would have been that song would have been a hit without Lotto. I'm sorry.

SPEAKER_11

So did you think that, because some people were saying this that, you know, they felt like Lotto carried the song.

SPEAKER_09

No, hell no. I think Doja Cat carried that song. You think that's the side. And you know I like Lotto. Like, I think Lotto, like, is I you know I think Lotto is the best female rapper out right now. But Doja Cat, I think Doja Cat, like, uh, and I'm talking about like as far as pen-wise, I think Lotto's the best female rapper out. But I think Doja Cat like stole that song.

SPEAKER_11

I I agree, you know. I think that, you know.

SPEAKER_09

I think they should do more songs together though, because they like two for two right now.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah. Well, did the video elevate the record?

SPEAKER_09

I think it did, because I forgot about that song until that video came out.

SPEAKER_11

True. Um, but is this one of Lotto's strongest rollouts?

SPEAKER_09

Um, I think it's Lotto's, I think this is probably Lotto's strongest rollout, but I think um I think she's had I think she's had more success on past projects, though.

SPEAKER_11

Mmm, okay. Do you feel like collaborations like this help female rap? Of course. You do.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, I think collaborations help rap in general, because it's like you're first of all, like, Doja's opening lotto to a different fan base.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah.

SPEAKER_09

So, because obviously Doja is the bigger artist, right? So she's opening, she's like, I I always like when bigger artists do records with people that's probably not, you know, as far as media and fan-wise, it's probably not on their level. Because it shows a sign of it shows a sign of humbleness and it also shows a sign of you you're willing to reach back and pull people up with you. So I feel like Doja Cat, and this is not like this is not the first record they have together, and Doja Cat does records like this with people all the time. So I feel I that's another reason why I like, you know, I like people like her and Cardi B who that they not too big to reach back.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah. Are female rappers working together more than they used to?

SPEAKER_09

I would say so, probably.

SPEAKER_11

I think that, you know, this record definitely was amazing. I feel like a lot of more, you know, thought could have gone to this. Because I like, you know, videos that have storylines. And it just didn't give much of a storyline.

SPEAKER_09

It just kind of they were just trying to be out, they were just trying to be as sexy as they can be.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah, two girls shaking body parts on each other, and even the jail scene when Doja Cat was in the back with the jail scene, like, and the guy was on the other side. It just it it was very sexualized, and I love that, but I just wish that they had more of like purpose, you know.

SPEAKER_09

One thing I will say about that video is Lotto Snapback is crazy.

SPEAKER_11

Okay, but I think both ladies look very beautiful, you know, very, very beautiful.

SPEAKER_09

But you know, you know, Lotto make a lot of people look look look real regular. That's all I'm gonna say.

SPEAKER_11

You've been saying that, and I honestly I think Doja Cat, you know, is Doja Cat is very is very nice looking. Yeah, she's sexy in her own right. I think that, you know, maybe Lotto possesses the vixen thing that you are attracted to.

SPEAKER_09

Makes a lot of people look regular. Only person she ain't ever made, only person she didn't make look regular was Cardi Bean.

SPEAKER_11

But not a lot of people can make Cardi look regular because Cardi's that girl. Cardi Cardi, yeah. Yeah, of course. Of course, you know, we spent just years hearing about competition, but lately we've been seeing more collaborations. So is female rap, you know, entering a new era where women are, you know, working together more, or is competition still, you know, underneath it all?

SPEAKER_09

I think it's always gonna be friendly competition. But I feel like I feel like female rappers are are more willing to work together than a lot of the male. Oh I ain't even gonna say a lot, they I ain't even gonna say that because a lot of male rappers work together too, but I feel like like female, I feel like female rap is as big as it's ever been to me, like ever in the history of life. Like, we've never had this many, probab probably in like little Kim, Foxy Brown, um, you know, going into the Eve, Trina era. Besides that era, we've never seen this many like hot female rappers at one time. I think that And I feel like not to cut you off, I'm sorry, but I feel like I feel like at a point in time, female rap was hotter than male rap.

SPEAKER_11

I think that me and you discussed this before, but we weren't talking about this specific thing. We're talking about how a lot of men can't be fake. Like women can be catty, you know, can like like not like you, but still benefit from you in that way, or still rub shoulders with you and be cool with you and be fake to your face. While men are just more grittier and in your face with it, most men, not all. So I think that that's why female rappers are collaborating or at this level, because women can, I think, understand that hey, I'ma get what I need to get, but I may not like her, you know?

SPEAKER_09

No, but I think a lot of female rappers, if they don't like you, they're not gonna work with you. Like, and I think like, and I also think that the difference between male and females is they a lot of female will let the internet you know stir up a problem that's not really even there. And a perfect example of that was Ice Spice and Lotto.

SPEAKER_11

But uh a lot of people would say that um, you know, people feel as though Cardi never liked Lotto because she was talking, you know, if that song I don't agree with that. I think Give me a second. If that um audio would have not been played or would have not been caught, would Cardi B, you know, still be around Lotto or still like would there be any type of animosity brought to the public? No, nobody would know, and Cardi would still be doing songs with this girl. So it makes you think that was there ever genuine friendship and love? Does she always feel like that?

SPEAKER_09

No, I don't I think there was always genuine friendship or love. I think that we we talked about this before off camera when it's happened, but I told you um, I told you that I I don't blame Lotto for feeling how she feels, like you know, for for taking a step back. But I also believe Cardi was sorry. Now, the thing about that is we know how Cardi is. Cardi's been this way for since she came out. She's very emotional. Now, I've like females get emotional, they say shit, you know, out of emotion, whatever, right? Because she said, Oh, you think I'm punk ass Lotto? Like and the p puss pussy ass Lotto, okay. I'm sorry. But I don't like I do, I do, I I don't know. I just I I don't I believe that Cardi is really sorry because I don't believe Cardi is a fake person. So I believe if Cardi is saying that she's sorry, that she did, like, you know, I I believe that it's genuine. Now where I agree with Lotto is like you could have called my phone, like you could have said it to me, like, but Cardi's whole thing is like, and it is and people be like 50-50 with this, because some people be like, well, you bought it to the internet. It came, it came on the internet, so apologize on the internet, right? Some people be like that, but some people be like, yo, you could have called my phone. You put you apologize on the internet, but you ain't called my phone yet.

SPEAKER_11

But Cardi said, I've been trying to call your phone. I it's not like I could just reach you, you know. I have to go to your your publicist, you're this person, you're that. I've even contacted your goddamn sister.

SPEAKER_09

Well, at that point, how cool are we are we then? If I if I gotta go through this many people to talk to call you. Yeah. Because I don't care how what the situation is, I should be able to pick up my phone and call you if we're cool.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah, but then it's like if I already heard that you're dissing me, you may not be able to just call me no more. Maybe I could have always just called you and you answered. But now that I know there's beef.

SPEAKER_09

I don't really think Lotto dissed her. I think Lotto addressed the situation. I don't think it was really a diss.

SPEAKER_11

But where it got No, I'm not speaking about from that standpoint. I'm saying that uh with Car Lotto hearing what Cardi said, maybe you could have reached me before, but now that I heard that you're talking spicy on audio, you can't reach me no more.

SPEAKER_09

Oh yeah, uh, but I mean, I guess. I think I think this whole thing is getting blown out of proportion because now, you know, uh, you know, a lotto addressed the situation, and then Cardi did what she did on stage by taking a lotto name out of it. And it's just like, that's the thing, that's a that's a that's another difference with men and females. Like two men can get into it and we can understand that this was a misunderstanding, and we can leave our ego and pride out of this and be like, you know what, fuck it, water under the bridge. But women, it's like y'all gotta have this thing where it's like, well, I can't, I can't be the one to fold.

SPEAKER_11

Like, it's just dumb, but so speaking of collaboration, let's talk about JT, right? JT feature and in her album rollout, you know. First of all, did you hear the feature? I sent it to you. Did you get a chance to listen to it?

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, we listened to it together, remember?

SPEAKER_11

Okay. I like that song.

SPEAKER_09

I like that song. I love JT. You know I love JT, but that song is a hit without JT. So JT makes the song like she did the song is still good. Like, she makes she enhances the song, but I'm saying, like, that song would have been okay without JT.

SPEAKER_11

Now, JT recently, you know, appeared.

SPEAKER_09

Shout out to the big girls.

SPEAKER_11

Yes, appeared as a feature artist, not the lead artist. On um, I believe the artist's name is uh, I can't even say her name properly, but I'm gonna spell it out is Y-S-E-U-L-T.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, can't nobody pronounce that shit, but she's a she's a big girl though, and she it I don't mean that in a disrespectful way. Like she carries, she carries it very well. Like when I was watching the video, I was like just surprised at how good she looked. Like, I'm like, oh, this is a nice looking big girl. Yeah, that song is a hit, though. I like that song.

SPEAKER_11

Yep, it's a new record. You know, many fans believe that her recent appearances and collaborations are part of you know her rollout leading into her highly anticipated solo album. So there's a lot going on with JT right now.

SPEAKER_09

I just want JT and Young Miami to get back who and do another City Girls album. Okay, so I feel like both of them was like I've I feel like Young Young Miami, Young Miami's always been the bigger star out of the two. But yeah.

SPEAKER_11

Is is J like JT isn't a main artist on this song. She's a feature, but I think that like every move she's making feels very intentional. So I'm gonna ask, does every feature now, you know, feel like it's part of her rollout? I think it is. I think that there's a lot of.

SPEAKER_09

I mean how many features she got.

SPEAKER_11

Um, she's kind of been, I know of this one, um, it's been alleged that she's about to start, you know, dropping a lot more features. I don't care about her. She's been on a lot of doshi stuff.

SPEAKER_09

I don't care about her features. JT. I don't care about her features. I care about her her solo songs because JT. Young Miami guy spin that shit. You need something.

SPEAKER_11

But is JT creating anticipation without overexposing herself?

SPEAKER_09

Nobody ain't nobody anticipating her shit.

SPEAKER_11

What has she successfully stepped outside of the City Girls?

SPEAKER_09

Oh I see the thing about it is everything, everything, see, because of the City Girls, everything, JT and Young Miami and Young Miami is always gonna get compared to each other. I don't think I think I think JT is the better artist. But I think Young Miami stands alone better than JT does.

SPEAKER_11

What do you want from JT's upcoming album? Like, does she need another solo hit before releasing the project?

SPEAKER_09

She needed she just needs hits. Like the thing about it is Young Miami coming with hits. When they were City Girls, they had hits. Like her whole career is based off hits. So you gotta have a hit.

SPEAKER_11

But did this feature make you more excited for J a JT album? Okay, but do you think that JT has found her own identity?

SPEAKER_09

No.

SPEAKER_11

With this sound?

SPEAKER_09

No.

SPEAKER_11

Can JT become just as successful as a solo artist?

SPEAKER_09

It's possible.

SPEAKER_11

You think so? You think she has.

SPEAKER_09

I just don't think nobody's checking for her, though. I don't I don't I don't think nobody's checking for her. I think I think young young young Miami is the bigger star, and all and people just look at JT as little Uzi's girlfriend.

SPEAKER_11

I think because of the dis with with the issues with her and Cardi B. That and I also believe that Jay, you know, a lot of what you said, JT is lazy. She is a very lazy.

SPEAKER_09

I think Young Miami was the one considered lazy at a point.

SPEAKER_11

No, I think Jay uh Young Miami is not the better rapper, but Young Miami is the hustler.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, but Young Miami wasn't really dropping music. Young Miami just started dropping music.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah, but Young Miami don't just.

SPEAKER_09

She put out a hit effort effortlessly.

SPEAKER_11

But Young Miami was working hard at it and she was waiting for this Diddy thing to blow over.

SPEAKER_09

Young Miami was focusing on podcasting. Young Miami wasn't dropping music. Young Miami was doing features, but Young Miami, Young Miami has never been as hot as she is right now.

SPEAKER_11

She always said that she wanted to be um the next Oprah. She said that she used to watch.

SPEAKER_02

I watch Lifetime. Okay. My grandma put me on Lifetime. I used to be in my grandma watching Lifetime all day. And I, like, since a child, I just been watching. That's the only channel I watch in the news. I bet you done threatened to kill your baby daddy dozens of times. I kill him. Crime passion.

SPEAKER_09

Okay, so that's my what is that? What are you saying that for? Because at my point is saying that I said that she wasn't dropping music. You worked for the name.

SPEAKER_02

She was trying to follow all of her dreams.

SPEAKER_04

Somebody loved the podcast. You were supposed to be the next black Oprah. You said you were.

SPEAKER_02

I'm still in the next black Oprah. Oprah. But I'm like the, you know how like a person is like black, but they like black, black? Yeah. Oprah, black, black. I'm saying like it's like the hood Oprah. Let me, let me, let me not. I mean the hood Oprah. Like it's gonna be like Oprah, but on a hood level.

SPEAKER_09

I think, I don't think Young Miami was worried about rapping until Diddy got locked up.

SPEAKER_11

I think that she was trying to follow all of her dreams.

SPEAKER_09

You know, I think she wasn't worried about rapping until Diddy got locked up.

SPEAKER_11

No, remember they did act bad? The city girls were still together.

SPEAKER_09

It was city girls, though.

SPEAKER_11

I think you're talking about young Miami by herself. She wasn't a solo artist prior to that. We can't compare that. She was a unit, so uh, you know.

SPEAKER_09

But JT was rapping songs by herself. So how could you say JT was lazy?

SPEAKER_11

No, it's a different situation because JT was getting that push uh, you know, from Nicki Minaj to be vengeful at that time. It was definitely a different time.

SPEAKER_09

You know, JT was just too stupid to see that Nicki Minaj was using her.

SPEAKER_11

That's what I'm saying. At that time it was a different time. Now let's talk about, you know, somebody we already mentioned Young Miami, who's been a huge, you know, had who has had a huge summer, Young Miami. Now, let's just get into it. Because you already started Young Miami, spend that. Let's talk about that.

SPEAKER_09

It's the highest song of the summer right now.

SPEAKER_11

It's the hottest song of the summer. So, what do you think about that boss man D Lo tour?

SPEAKER_09

Um, I'm a little disappointed that she that she's not going on tour with him no more because I wanted to go to that show.

SPEAKER_11

Okay.

SPEAKER_09

But I respect the fact that she is trying to focus on her album. That means she's putting all her time and energy into her album to make it the, you know, the best project she can possibly put out. So I respect that part of it.

SPEAKER_11

Okay. Well, as far as the young Miami spin that, right? Um, I don't want to debate whether the song is good. Um, I think that the song has already answered that question. The audience has embraced it.

SPEAKER_09

Um, it was actually higher on the billboards, I believe.

SPEAKER_11

At the BET Awards, you know, people were singing it, the crowd knew the lyrics. That was crazy.

SPEAKER_09

You weren't even performing it. That's crazy.

SPEAKER_00

Please, please, please, welcome.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah, people are dancing to it, you know, and like that.

SPEAKER_09

I think Spinette has become a has become a Negro spiritual.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah, well, every month it seems like it keeps climbing, you know, and this is probably Young Miami's biggest solo, you know, movement. I'm gonna tell you the thing.

SPEAKER_09

I'm gonna tell you the thing, right? When when it comes to female, female artists, right?

SPEAKER_11

Yes.

SPEAKER_09

You know you got a fucking hit. You know you got a a banger, but you got niggas banging that shit, niggas rapping that shit, niggas singing that shit as much as the females.

SPEAKER_11

Okay. Yeah, I think this song is a hit. Honestly, you know, they've people been getting arrested because they want to show so much that they're scamming ass niggas on the internet.

SPEAKER_08

You know, niggas are idiots.

SPEAKER_11

Going to jail behind that spin that challenge, you know.

SPEAKER_08

Came from a TikTok video made to Young Miami's viral song Spin That about boosting and scamming. Well, people believe say this video shows Janice Wiley holding two stolen Louis Vuitton purses. It was posted five days after detectives say her daughter, Janice Downs, and an unidentified suspect, stole the bags worth more than $7,000 from Nordstrom in downtown Seattle, and two days after Downs showed the purses on her Instagram account.

SPEAKER_07

For us, she's a prolific um organized career theft um criminal, and so we're very familiar with her.

SPEAKER_08

That's because Bellevue PD's special enforcement team busted Downs and her mom two years ago for a major organized retail crime spree. They were accused of stealing more than half a million dollars worth of Lululemon clothing. Was released in January. Bellevue PD Captain Landon Barnwell says just four months later, Downs was back to her old way.

SPEAKER_11

So it's a lot to discuss. Um, has young Miami finally found her own sound?

SPEAKER_09

This is a thing, right?

SPEAKER_11

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_09

I don't think young Miami ever had to find her style. I think young Miami was a city girls.

SPEAKER_11

She was a scamming scamming ass.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, you get what I'm saying? Like everything, everything young Miami, I think that and I think that's the problem with JT. I think that the City Girls was always looked at as like like young Miami is the.

SPEAKER_11

She represents her name is Young Miami.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, her name is Young Miami, and then like I feel like the City Girls is like, I think when people hear the City Girls, like if you if you if you listen to if you think of every City Girl hit and you tell me the line that sticks out in that song, every line that sticks out is probably gonna be a young Miami song. Something that Young Miami said.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_09

Like she came up with the whole period thing, like everything, everybody talking about that. Like, so I f I don't feel like young Miami ever had to find her style. I feel like she just, I feel like she still took that whole City Girl thing and just became a solo artist with it. And I think that's where JT is struggling that JT is trying to separate herself from the city girls, and it's like instead of embracing it. Well, it's like can't can she even embrace it? Well, do you want to hear that shit?

SPEAKER_11

I mean, she is in a relationship, so you know. And young Miami. She was in a relationship the whole time.

SPEAKER_09

Young Miami was in a relationship.

SPEAKER_11

But that's my thing. Young Miami was in relationships. Young Miami was allegedly still having an open situation with her baby daddy, you know, and you know, they say that P. Diddy like to watch, so it's not much of a leaving your baby daddy, you know.

SPEAKER_09

South side ain't going for that bullshit.

SPEAKER_11

Her, they it feels like if Southside's moving on to the next person that he can still do that with his baby mama. I'm not saying Diddy is involved, but hey, who's to say Diddy ain't in a corner somewhere watching? You know, it's highly weird.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, but that first of all, hush. Because the Southside was way before Diddy. She wasn't even dealing with Diddy and Southside around the same time, time frame. But to go back to my point is like, nobody gives a fuck if you're in a relationship or not. Like, Beyonce made a whole motherfucking album about Beyonce put out a song called Single Ladies and she was married. Beyonce put out a whole album about fuck niggas and she was married.

SPEAKER_11

So she you would say that she doesn't have Young Miami, does not have her own identity outside of the City Girls. The City Girls. The City Girls is Young Miami's identity, right? Yeah. And but uh JT hasn't found her identity outside the city girls.

SPEAKER_09

Because JT is like I think you just said she's trying to separate. She's trying to separate herself from the city girl image. Y'all Miami still like spin that shit, would have easily been a young uh a city girl song.

SPEAKER_11

Okay, yeah, definitely. You know what I'm saying? It could have been. So it's like it's like uh rap freaks.

SPEAKER_09

Rap freaks would have easily been a city girl song. Like if you think about all the young Miami songs, they could like you could just add JT to it.

SPEAKER_11

So it's like, man, in the studio was it really young Miami this entire time.

SPEAKER_09

Well, young Miami don't write her own music.

SPEAKER_11

That was actually I know, but her her image, they was some people can look at people and just write a song for the city.

SPEAKER_09

But yeah, but young Miami was always the big Young Miami was always the uh the uh bigger artist out of them too, though. It's like just JT was in jail too, so yeah, JT was in jail for a long time for when they was the same thing with Offset. Like the the when when when when Amigos got popped in, Offset was in jail.

SPEAKER_11

They really had to build it under, you know, around Young Miami.

SPEAKER_09

Like, yeah, because I remember she went on a whole motherfucking um, when she went on that whole boat boat tour, the city girls, and and that's a good point. That's a good point. For a long time, when you thought about the city girls, all you seen was young Miami.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah, so she's she is the poster child for City Girl music. So even when she steps outside the City Girls, she was early on in the building of the City Girls, the image of. And we didn't really have to see two of them. We was we really got used to seeing her. So honestly, we're familiar with her and comfortable with her. That's why, even without the city girls being together, we've already got connected to Young Miami off the rip. JT always had a struggle to build that connection with us because she wasn't there during the humble beginnings, she was in jail, right?

SPEAKER_09

That's a good assessment.

SPEAKER_11

Definitely, definitely. So, is this, I would say, the perfect time for her to release the album?

SPEAKER_09

JT?

SPEAKER_11

Young Miami.

SPEAKER_09

Oh yeah, Young Miami, yeah, yeah, Young Miami. Uh she yeah. One thing that I I have a problem with artists is that I feel like a lot of artists don't capitalize on the moment as soon as they should. Like, I just hope that Young Miami don't drop her album too late. I hope she I hope when she drops her album, it's still around the time spin that is like going up.

SPEAKER_11

Okay, yeah.

SPEAKER_09

You know, I I want to talk about- She's a summer artist, so she needs to drop before the summer ends.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah, I I want to talk about the boss man D'o thing, right? So Young Miami like recently announced that she would no, you know, no longer be joining Boss Man Delo motion party tour because she, you know, wanted to finish her upcoming album. Now she thanked her fans for supporting Spin That and said that she wanted to lock in and complete the project. So I would say, did Young My Young Miami make the right decision? Would touring have been, you know, the smarter business move, or is just betting on yourself and finishing the album, you know, the better long-term investment.

SPEAKER_09

Does betting on yourself finishing that album definitely a better long-term investment because then you can go back on tour?

SPEAKER_11

But does spend that give her enough momentum to focus on an album instead of a tour?

SPEAKER_09

I've always choose, yes. Because the thing about it, that's not her tour.

SPEAKER_11

She didn't plan to hit this. Like she's been trying, you know, she has this yams era.

SPEAKER_14

Yams mean though. NE Yams is like in Miami. So in Miami. The yams is Miami. So the Yams is it that's why I always thought so. The yams is that's what that means, Miami. Yes. When people say the yams, because it's when you say Miam me, you know, it's just something they kind of recently, like, you know, ran and took with it, but it was, yeah. NE Yams is in Miami, you know, Miami vibe.

SPEAKER_11

She was doing different things for the yams, and Spinat just happened to hit. You know what I'm saying? It caught like fire.

SPEAKER_09

So the thing is should she be everywhere? No, no, no, because this is not her tour. Okay. This is she was on, she was added to somebody else's tour. Like Doja Cat? Like, like Lotto and Doja Cat, yeah. So it's like, yeah, Spinat, I this is my thing. I believe Spin That is a good record, right? And she's bet, she's definitely betting on herself. But I believe Young Miami got another spin-out in her. So if she wants to focus on making this album and then come on to, like, she can do another, she can she might have another spin-up, spin that on her because I and I and I trust her to have another uh spin that in her because I seen the City Girls have countless hits. Like, they can just have one hit.

SPEAKER_11

So is this Young Miami's biggest solo record one, or is this the beginning of something bigger? And can she build, you know, a solo career from here? All of the above. Or would she have stayed, or should she have stayed on tour, or would you have, I don't know, would would you think say that her going back to the studio is the best thing? Because for me, I'm a little nervous. I'm not gonna lie.

SPEAKER_09

I think all of the above. And I'm nervous. She could have finished her album and stayed on tour, but I feel like I feel like if she wanna focus on her album, I don't think nothing wrong with that. Because she can always go back on tour. You gotta think about it. Young Miami, like once you an artist was with with with multiple hits, like you can she's gonna be able to tour off these these hits for the rest of her career at this point.

SPEAKER_11

So I think I would be like, right now, be feature, be the feature queen. I want to hear Young Miami everywhere. I would say get on everywhere. Until you're let us get used to, because we were already liking your voice, liking hearing from you. And she do got that hit with uh with Fat Joe.

SPEAKER_09

I love that song too.

SPEAKER_16

Uh you the birthday, you the main character, you a first plate. Educate up the pussy's first fake.

SPEAKER_11

Keep us spinning, and then when you keep getting on everything, we keep hearing you everywhere. Then you drop your album, it catches still the fire's still hot. Keep hitting while the fire is hot.

SPEAKER_09

Young Miami stole the birthday. Lord. She stole that shit.

SPEAKER_11

Oh god. Okay, I understand the fat Joe and Young Miami. But speaking of young Miami, you know, she's making another, you know, major career move. Now, I don't know if you know this, but um Young Miami is officially entering a new chapter in her career. Um, her highly anticipated debut album, often referred to by fans as YM1, um, will be released, you know, through the relaunch Uptown Records under an exclusive, you know, licensing deal with Republic, um, collective and university music. Um, reports also indicate that she structured this, you know, the deal so she can retain ownership of her masters, um, you know, making a major shift from her previous agreement with quality control. So I think this is a big conversation because, you know, I think this is I would say this is the biggest bigger, this is actually bigger than people realize. You know, Young Miami was previously signed, you know, through quality control with the City Girls. Now she's entering um just a completely different chapter. She reportedly owns her masters under the new licensing agreement. Um, and I think that's becoming more common. So, first of all, what do you think about this before I get into the ditty of it all?

SPEAKER_09

I mean, I think it's a good look for her. Anytime, anytime you can get your masters, you know, anytime you can negotiate a deal that excludes you having your masters and not having to wait to get them back, it's always a good thing. And I feel like, you know, at the end of the day, I feel like she, I feel like a lot of the things that she's doing, she's betting to herself. And I'm not never mad at nobody doing that.

SPEAKER_11

Okay, yeah, definitely. I'm here for it. Own your master's sis, make your money. Don't be in no, what they say, 360 deal. Don't do none of that. Own everything. So I I love you saying that, but I think there's also a bigger conversation. I think what's really interesting um is the label, you know, Uptown Records. Um, that's a legendary name, you know, founded by, you know, Andre Harrell. Um, and it helped launch careers like Mary J. Blige, careers like Jodice, you know, Heavy D, you know, Guy. You know, it also became the place where Sean Diddy Combs got got one of his earliest or earlier major opportunities before creating Bad Boy Records. Now, I think there's a lot to discuss here as far as her linking with Diddy. Um, did you think that Young Miami chose Uptown because it's legendary, because of the woman, you know, le leading the relaunch, or because she gets ownership of her masters, or because the label um can help revamp her career. Can Uptown Records separate itself from Diddy's legacy, or will people always associate the label with him?

SPEAKER_09

Uptown records is Uptown Records regardless of Diddy or not.

SPEAKER_11

So you don't think this is Diddy's.

SPEAKER_09

Uptown records was a thing before Diddy.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah, but the beginning stages, Diddy was highly involved. And if you know, I just I think that if you really think about young Miami and how she's been moving, people are even saying that she still visited him in jail.

SPEAKER_10

Media takeout claims that she went to go recently visit him. And it also says that she spent about an hour with him. But like I said, young Miami hasn't said anything about it. But I wouldn't be surprised if she went to go see him because she was supporting him. She even wrote him a character letter.

SPEAKER_11

You know, if you were young Miami, would you have signed with Uptown knowing people would immediately bring up Diddy?

SPEAKER_09

I don't think nobody's bringing up Diddy.

SPEAKER_11

I think No, I'm telling you, this is a thing. Do you think that fans focus too much on like label history, the label's history, or should artists be judged by the opportunities the labels offer today? I think that the Diddy thing is a thing. It really is because you know the Jaguar right talks about Andre Harrell and all the.

SPEAKER_09

If you're gonna bring if you if you if your reference is drag Jaguar right, I might be able to debate you over there.

SPEAKER_11

I'm telling you, there's a lot of smoke there where smoke is fire, and honestly, Uptown Records started with five people.

SPEAKER_12

Andre Harrell, I'll be sure, Heavy D, and Puffy. And Kim was the longest working employee because she was there from the very beginning. She was Andre's personal assistant. Kim is dead. Heavy D is dead. The only two left are Puffy and Al, and Al almost died.

SPEAKER_11

You know, I am if you ask me, right, this is what I think is happening right now.

SPEAKER_09

The same person who's got sued for lying. Okay.

SPEAKER_11

Do you remember Cassie? You remember Cassie, right? The Diddy and Cassie. I have to do it because you remember you've been waiting so long. I wanna answer your call. Remember that? That was a hit, right? A hit. But she ain't have no other songs after that. I really think that this song spin that uh is giving very much so Diddy sauce. I could do the Diddy bop to it. So I think that the same way how you know Cassie had that hit and Diddy was behind it is the same way. Right now he's behind bars. He needs to be able to recoup some sort of income. And I think he's, you know, for lack of a better term, pimping the mess out of young Miami and and you know, using this whole spin that movement to be able to pay for or put keep money on his books. He's out here fighting in jail and for dicks and all of that.

SPEAKER_09

You think Diddy needs money on his fucking books?

SPEAKER_11

Yes. Diddy, it has how many lawsuits right now? He's going broke.

SPEAKER_09

I I really think that's Diddy is going broke.

SPEAKER_11

Yes, I think there's a lot going on there.

SPEAKER_09

Okay, I don't know. I have no comment.

SPEAKER_11

Okay, well, speaking of young Miami, let's talk about another relationship that's getting people talking, right? Young Miami and Saucy Santana. Now, can their friendship survive success?

SPEAKER_09

Gay.

SPEAKER_11

Oh my god. You know, this conversation I actually want to have. It's bigger than music. You know, it's about friendship. Young Miami, you know, finally has her momentum. I don't know.

SPEAKER_09

I don't know enough about this gay ass dude to be to have a comment on this.

SPEAKER_11

Young Miami finally has her momentum. Now her best friend Saucy Santana has his momentum too. You know, his song, Quiet on the Creek, is you know, climbing their, you know, their songs have appeared near each other on, you know, some charts. You know, so I think that this is a lot to discuss. I think that history tells us that people believe that City Girls eventually fell apart after JT became, you know, began receiving more solo opportunities. You remember the Nicki Minaj thing we discussed? Whether it's true or not, um, that's the perception. So many people question um, can young Miami handle watching another one of her close friends become a star? You know, people are saying that there was a lot of jealousy there with her working with Nicki Minaj and you know, get gaining her shine. So, will young Miami be able to handle saucy? Doing well with Quiet on the Creek and him gaining success, or will there be jealousy? You know, I honestly hope that they both can win. You know, I don't want to see another City Girl situation. You know, it would be refreshing to see two friends celebrate one another instead of competing. So I'm really happy for them, you know, just doing well on the charts.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, yeah, yeah. But fuck all that. Let's talk about this Quiet on the Creek song.

SPEAKER_11

Lord, I'm we support LBTQIA, the community. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_09

All that. But that don't mean I'm not gonna call you what you is, man, right? And I think that song is for down low niggas. And I used to go fishing when I was a little girl. You gotta be real quiet on the creek.

SPEAKER_11

That's not what the song is about.

SPEAKER_09

That song is about down low niggas. Quiet on the creek is about down low niggas.

SPEAKER_11

No, it's about running your mouth, period. Now, according to Google, quiet on the creek means to move in silence or keep your plans and actions to yourself. Right, running your mouth. Why would you be worried about somebody running their mouth? You ain't never been with a girl on the low, and that you know I'm saying she gotta tell everybody, or you trying to keep it on the low. You sleeping with your uncle's girlfriend or your cousin's girl, girlfriend, or somebody's woman. They it could go both ways.

SPEAKER_09

What are you keeping on a down low? Why are you keeping it on a down low?

SPEAKER_11

Why was the Isley brother and R.

SPEAKER_09

Kelly? You don't want nobody to know that you that you like.

SPEAKER_11

That's not what was happening to Eisley brothers.

SPEAKER_09

Keep it on the download. Yeah, but when you got a gay motherfucker talking about him fighting on the creek. Just cause he's gay, it ain't gotta be gay. That song is about downloading. No, it's okay. If you like that song as a man, that's not true.

SPEAKER_11

Ain't nothing wrong with a man liking it.

SPEAKER_09

I got something to tell you, my man.

SPEAKER_11

You're not gay.

SPEAKER_09

You like you on a down low.

SPEAKER_11

Ain't nothing wrong with liking that song.

SPEAKER_09

I don't have a problem with gay people, right? Gay people, love for you, love, you up, right? You want to d ass that's on you. My problem is, I have a problem with download niggas.

SPEAKER_11

It ain't no down low in this.

SPEAKER_09

It's about And this song is about downloading.

SPEAKER_11

So do you like download men too? You have me have a problem with download men too who's messing around with somebody else's girl.

SPEAKER_09

I got a problem with download, download anything.

SPEAKER_11

Cause why don't you come out the closet and say what you are? No, I think it's their business. If you're messing around with somebody's girl and you don't want them to know that's between grown people doing grown things. But let's go to the next.

SPEAKER_09

Man, that's all right, whatever, man.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah, I want to talk about Cardi B's love interest, Moon Madoka. I forgot, I don't even know how to say his name. He's Nigerian child. Cardi has been spotted in London with this Nigerian soccer player, you know, as far as sparking dating rumors and I think that Cardi, you know, she hasn't confirmed this, but it could be a good thing. What do you think?

SPEAKER_09

I don't give a fuck about Cardi.

SPEAKER_11

You don't care about Cardi and What?

SPEAKER_09

That is a married woman.

SPEAKER_11

No, it's oh my god, not this again.

SPEAKER_09

I don't care about Cardi B jumping from dick to dick. I don't care. Honestly, I'm done talking about Cardi and her love interests. Let me know. Like, come on, man.

SPEAKER_11

What? She can't be in love? Offset doing him? What's the double standards, man? Offset doing him. I don't care about that nigga either. No, he's laying it low and spreading it wide.

SPEAKER_09

Then that nigga get shot.

SPEAKER_11

Oh my god. Ain't nobody saying nothing about offset falling in love. Everybody got.

SPEAKER_09

Because who gives a fuck? Nobody's talking about offset falling in love. So why are we talking about Cardi B falling in love? She literally just left her husband and had a baby by a nigga that fucks niggas. And now you a nigga that look like he fuck niggas again. Like, I don't care about these. Fuck Cardi B and her relationship. I love Cardi B. Fuck her and her relationships, man.

SPEAKER_11

Wow. Okay. Well, since you have an issue, I for me, I don't think women should be expected, you know, to put their lives on hold if divorce, you know, takes a long time. You know, sometimes it does. You know, and at the same time, I also understand why some people believe that healing before another relationship can be healthy. Um, I think the better question for me isn't whether Cardi is dating, it's whether she, you know, she's choosing the right people. And, you know, allegedly.

SPEAKER_09

She needs a fucking heal. She needs to sit down somewhere. She left her, she got pregnant while she's still in a fucking marriage. What do you mean, heal? As a matter of fact, she was already fucking this nigga before he came out and that she was fucking a nigga.

SPEAKER_11

No, I don't think so. She just met him at a fashion show. It wasn't all of that. I'm talking about Stefan Diggs. Okay, well, Stefan Diggs offset's been doing him, so you know, I don't know.

SPEAKER_09

And Cardi B gets worse, so ain't no telling what this nigga gonna do.

SPEAKER_11

Lord, I don't know. You think she gets worse with each relationship?

SPEAKER_09

Yes, nigga, because the first nigga was cheating on her. Like, you left offset for doing some, like, you left offset for a little cheating. Like what? A little cheating? A little cheating. Any cheating. All you did was cheating. And no. You left a nigga because he cheated.

SPEAKER_11

All he did was cheat. It ain't all just a little cheating.

SPEAKER_09

You left the nigga because he cheated. Wow.

SPEAKER_11

You're childish.

SPEAKER_09

But you but then you go to but then you go to a nigga who not only is he cheating on you with women, he's cheating on you with men.

SPEAKER_11

Allegedly, that's not true. They have a whole court case that has not came out yet. And I don't think.

SPEAKER_09

Well, my man is Blake Griffith, whatever the fuck his name said, he was taking that man shopping. I am both straight.

SPEAKER_04

I am heterosexual. I have never had a back and forth or physical. I've never been with a man, and no man has ever been with me. Okay. The reason that I feel like whatever allegations surface and people run with the narrative that maybe perhaps myself and Stefan were dating, I think people they can run with that because the picture's worth a thousand words. When you ask me, I don't think I was in a relationship with this man, but I do know that when we used to go to stores and things like that, I didn't pay for anything. There's a photographer standing on the side, he doesn't get the shop. His brother, that me, he doesn't get the shop. These other guys, they don't get the shop, they just stand along the wall. The girls are shopping. I'm shopping too, but in my head, I'm not thinking. So he's paying for everything. Yeah, he's paying for everything, but I'm not I'm not thinking I'm like one of the girls.

SPEAKER_01

To that community, I want to let you know that I'm both straight and heterosexual. God bless you. I think I know uh when I posted some videos about Chris a couple days ago, folks were like, Y'all want him to be gay so bad. I I want niggas to be real. I don't want you to be gay or straight. I want you to be real, bitch. Because you're going off of looks and what they tell you it is, not the experience of it, huh? That's a word. Nonetheless, that man said, you know, nothing ever happened. I've never been with a man, and I I put in a comment, I said, this define been with should. But also, um, he describes he was like, you know, I know that when we went in stores, his brother couldn't shop and all these other people couldn't do anything, but I did. I never paid for anything. What were you doing? What was your purpose? What what was your what was your what were you doing? You were styling him? Like were you changing his outfit like eight times a day? Why were you there? I don't understand. And and and I've reconciled this isn't victim blaming because I'm only asking questions based on the conversations that Chris continues to have. You're doing an interview with Vlad. You were just on TMZ outside of a therapy office or something. So I just have questions based on what information you keep telling us, based on common sense, lived experience, and like 30-something years in this game, like being a grown person.

SPEAKER_00

You were his stylist and friend. And now you believe that an indication of his sexuality is based on the fact that you didn't have to pay for clothes when y'all went shopping. Stylist! Well, wouldn't it make sense that you were shopping given you were the stylist? I don't know. I don't know, and you think now looking back on it, the fact that he let you shop, somebody who was a millionaire, means that he thought y'all were in a relationship. Now, to be fair, because I always want to tell all sides of a story, apparently he admitted some new evidence today or recently that will be proof that he was attacked by Stefan Diggs brother and affiliates. Which, I mean, I'm not saying that didn't happen, but I'm trying to figure out how this all leads to.

SPEAKER_11

So he was a stylist. He was a stylist. That's what he comes to do. What do you mean? He's the style, he's supposed to be styling Stephon. That's why he was going shopping.

SPEAKER_09

But he was buying shit for himself. He wasn't buying his own. I don't know about that.

SPEAKER_11

I don't know about that. It ain't better than that.

SPEAKER_09

Only me and the bitches was buying shit.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah, for him. For Stefan. He didn't, he ain't even, he don't even tell the full story. He be cropping certain areas. So I think that'cause that nigga's gonna say it with me. No, I'm not because I'm ain't nothing wrong with the LBT. I don't even want to offend nobody. Gay! I don't wanna offend nobody. We the gays are welcome here, everybody. And next we're gonna go to Raising Canaan, okay? So we watched Raising Canaan. This is not the last episode, but we're back, you know, after that little break. Now, I wanna just talk. Let's just sit in there for a minute. Let me know what do you think about Raising Canaan? You know, what are your views? Like, how do you feel about Raising Canaan? Everything.

SPEAKER_09

I think Raising Canaan, out of all the Power Universe shows, this show clearly has the best acting hands down.

SPEAKER_11

Yes, yes, these are real actors. So who's your favorite character?

SPEAKER_09

I mean, my favorite character is Marvin, obviously, but I think that's everybody's favorite character.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah, I like Marvin too. Marvin is a very, very dope act like character. After that, it has to be Rock.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, of course. Rock is the best actor. Rock is the best actress in a whole power universe.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah, you know, she came from she came from Broadway.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah.

SPEAKER_11

And I just I don't even know how they got her to agree to this, but yeah, just absolutely amazing. What do you think about Breeze?

SPEAKER_09

I think, um, I think what's his name? Uh what the fuck is his name? Um what the fuck is his name? Shamit Moore. He's a good ass fucking actor.

SPEAKER_11

Now we heard about Breeze for years. Now we're finally seeing him.

SPEAKER_09

I think I think they're they picked uh a good person to play him.

SPEAKER_11

Really?

SPEAKER_09

Yeah.

SPEAKER_11

Okay.

SPEAKER_09

But he's a good actor though, too, so that's uh Miles Morales from Spider-Man. Spider-Man Spider Universe.

SPEAKER_11

I mean, we already know from the original Power Universe that Ghost eventually kills Breeze.

SPEAKER_09

That's what we think.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah, the question isn't if or it's why, you know, like that I think the nigga showing a good job of why the nigga crazy. Yeah. Well, I I guess that's what makes watching it so interesting because we finally get to see the missing pieces come together. Because we didn't even know that that was his brother.

SPEAKER_09

I mean, it's not his brother, but the fact that Breeze thought that I don't even think that's Breeze's real dad, but that's we're gonna figure it out all.

SPEAKER_11

I mean, they said he was a part of the community, speaking of community talk, you know.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, exactly. But I think I think um what I think is gonna end up happening with this season, I think um, I think Marvin's gonna end up in jail, and I think I think Rock is just gonna lose everything and just go like like kind of be gone. Like if if you anybody ever seen Snowfall, I know you never watched it, but if anybody ever seen Snowfall, like the end of that, like Franklin didn't die or go to jail, he just lost everything. I think the same thing's gonna happen with Rock.

SPEAKER_11

I don't think I think Rock is too strong of a character to take that land down.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, but we thought the same thing about Unique.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah, man, but unique, I don't know. I guess we gotta see, because we did, you know, they did put um the guy from BMF on drugs.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, but that's a whole different show.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah, but I'm just saying they might, you know, take a different route with this. Now, let's just transition now that we finish trending topics. You know, let's get into our favorite part of this show is to whom it may concern, you know.

SPEAKER_09

All right, y'all. Now, before we get into this the letter of the day, this is the part of the show, right? Where we want y'all email us a letter about anything that you want to talk about.

SPEAKER_11

Yep, and we are going to help you, we're gonna support you, we're going to just help you figure this entire situation out. So before we get to reading this letter, please email us at FWhoAmmay Concernpodcast at gmail.com and we'll help you out. You know, we'll help with this issue, whatever it is, okay? Are you guys ready for the letter? Yes. I knew you were. Okay, so here it goes.

SPEAKER_09

So this week, I'm gonna read the letter for y'all, right? This letter is called The X. Dear TCMO, I've been dating my boyfriend for almost three years. We live together and have been talking about marriage. Last week, I found out he's still paying some of his ex-girlfriend's bills. He says she's struggling financially and he doesn't want to see anyone fail. They don't have children together, and he insists there's nothing romantic going on. I asked him why he never told me, and he said he knew I overreact. Now I'm wondering if this now I'm wondering if the money is really the issue or if it's the secrecy. Am I wrong for feeling betrayed or should I trust his explanation? Signed Confused in Cleveland.

SPEAKER_11

Okay, girl, you in Cleveland.

SPEAKER_09

I got three words for her.

unknown

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_09

Leave that nigga.

SPEAKER_11

Ooh. Won't he do it, Jesus?

SPEAKER_09

What? What the fuck do you mean he been paying his ex bills and leave that nigga?

SPEAKER_11

Mm-hmm. Cause you know, a man's money means a lot to him. He worked hard for that money and he gonna he cared to secure her, and he was dragging his feet to marry you. Any type of listen, I was told that if a man is taking pictures with you looking sad, he with the wrong person. Because he needs to be happy as as well as you need to be happy. Y'all need to be happy to be together. If you going out with this man or doing things with this man and he got make time to do anything for anybody else, especially another woman.

SPEAKER_09

That he ain't got no kids, no kids with. This ain't even his baby mama. It's just some his ex-girlfriend.

SPEAKER_03

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, you need to leave that nigga, man. Ain't no, ain't no, ain't no even like it ain't no, I don't even want to, I don't I I there's no explanation for me to give you. It's like I don't even want to like lick at this from the other side or anything. Just leave that nigga.

SPEAKER_11

She's struggling.

SPEAKER_09

Let that bitch struggle. What the fuck they got to do with you and what you got going on over here.

SPEAKER_11

Okay, we ain't struggling.

SPEAKER_09

Like, leave that nigga alone, man.

SPEAKER_11

If if the roles were reversed and you were struggling, was she gonna take money out of her and her man's pockets to come and help you?

SPEAKER_09

Where there's smoke, there's fire, man.

SPEAKER_11

Exactly.

SPEAKER_09

If it looked like a dick, it quack like a dick, it ain't pussy.

SPEAKER_11

Okay, uh, Jesus. I I wouldn't have said that, but you know. I I guess you gotta go there. Yeah, girl, no. You deserve way better. You deserve a man to choose you and only you, be there for you and only for you. You don't want nobody sitting up in here playing in your face, and it gives that he's just playing in your face. That's just how I feel about it. I don't know. It's just a lot, okay? I just think that you know.

SPEAKER_09

And if you don't leave that nigga, you stupid. So what?

SPEAKER_11

That's your first reaction. You just think she's stupid if she don't leave?

SPEAKER_09

Stupid as fuck.

SPEAKER_11

Mm-mm. If you don't leave him, you need to go to God, okay? Go to God and bring it to go to confession at the church. Sit down with a priest, they can help you do this.

SPEAKER_09

You know what God's gonna tell you?

SPEAKER_11

It's okay, my my child.

SPEAKER_09

They gonna tell you you're stupid.

SPEAKER_11

No, God is not gonna call us.

SPEAKER_09

He's gonna tell you you're stupid.

SPEAKER_11

Okay, well, right now, thank you so much for you know sending us that message. Remember, guys, if you have any any message or any questions for us, reach out to f who maconcernpodcast at gmail.com. Now we are off to off script, okay? It's very important for us to go off script. You know, neither of us, you know, know what each other is gonna speak about as far as the hot takes go, right? So let us know. So now this is off strip. We're giving our hot takes, our personal opinions on different things. I'll say you go first. What is your hot take?

SPEAKER_09

My hot take is I think closure after a breakup is overrated. I think closure is overrated because sometimes the lesson is the closure, right? Everybody talk about needing closure before they can move on. And I don't buy that bullshit. Most people aren't looking for closure, they're looking for answers they can accept. They're looking for somebody to tell them something that you know they just want to hear instead of just really hearing the truth. And the truth is, some people just ghost you. Some people, sometimes they cheat, sometimes they leave, sometimes they die, sometimes they simply just stop choosing you. And if your healing depends on another person explaining themselves, you've handed them the control over your piece already. And one thing I always told myself is I'm never gonna let nobody ever have more control over my feelings than I do. I'm never gonna let nobody have control over my peace more than I do. I'm never gonna let nobody have control over my heart and the decisions I decide to make more than I do.

SPEAKER_11

So you ain't never asked no girl for closure.

SPEAKER_09

I don't feel like I ever needed it.

SPEAKER_11

Oh.

SPEAKER_09

Because I don't think something something I don't think closure is something somebody gives you. I think it's just something that you decide.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_09

I think it's something that you like come to your own defense with about like, oh, like, you know, that's just what that was. That's just what it is. And like I say earlier, I sometimes I think people just won't, like, closure is just you just basically telling you. I feel like closure is basically you giving somebody the opportunity to explain why they had you fucked up. And that's stupid to me. Why do you believe that? Because it's stupid to me. Why do I need to hear you tell me why you had me fucked up? Why do I need you to help me understand why you had me fucked up?

SPEAKER_11

Maybe it's a fun- maybe it's not toxic as a final goodbye.

SPEAKER_09

It's not it's not a goodbye because you know what was closure? The disrespect was closure.

SPEAKER_11

But what if it wasn't respectful?

SPEAKER_09

The disrespect was closure, the silence was closure, the lack of effort was closure.

SPEAKER_11

What made you think like this?

SPEAKER_09

The betrayal was closure. Like all this shit you did, the bullshit you was on was closure enough for me. So fuck you. I don't need to hear from you ever again. I don't need no closure from you.

SPEAKER_11

I think most people would agree.

SPEAKER_09

I think most people should agree.

SPEAKER_11

Lord. So, what would change your mind about this?

SPEAKER_09

Nothing would change my mind about it because I shouldn't, I shouldn't need no closure. Because if this was gonna work out, it should have just worked out.

SPEAKER_13

Lord, it's a lot.

SPEAKER_09

Like, why do I need you to tell? Like, I just don't understand why people need somebody to tell them to help them. It's like you want me, it's like I feel like closure is like, okay, help me be comfortable with the fact that you fucked up.

SPEAKER_11

I don't agree, but I definitely can understand where you're coming from as far as that goes. I think closure sometimes is like a closing the door to a final goodbye. I had an ex-boyfriend, most recent ex, if you do know what I mean, sent me a letter asking for closure. And you know, I felt like it was a nice thing that he did by sending me that letter. He was like, you know, I'm just sending this letter just to get closure.

SPEAKER_09

It's like everything that you did wrong wrapped in a bow. That's what I think closure is. Interesting. I think it's like you packaging up, you patch you're trying to package disaster pretty for me.

SPEAKER_11

Okay, well, let's go to my hot take. I think that as far as my hot take goes, is girls that eat pineapple, pineapples are hoes. Whoa, what? There it is. You know, I've been thinking this for a long time. It's a real thing. Girls that eat pineapple. That's why I never got into pineapples. I was told that the girls that eat pineapples are are hoes. I heard it's a sexual act, you know.

SPEAKER_09

What if you just like pineapples?

SPEAKER_11

Huh?

SPEAKER_09

What if you just like pineapples?

SPEAKER_11

You might have some hoe in you.

SPEAKER_09

What if you just like pineapples though? Like, what do you mean?

SPEAKER_11

There's a level of hoe shit going on with you that you haven't evaluated and took charge of. But I was told that, you know what I'm saying? The girls that eat now, I don't know if that applies to the men, but I was told at a very young age that girls that eat pineapples are hoes. Now I don't know.

SPEAKER_09

Who told you that?

SPEAKER_11

A a very important family member of mine told me this.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, I hope it wasn't who I think it was.

SPEAKER_11

Anywho.

SPEAKER_09

Was it the same person who told you to put water in grease?

SPEAKER_11

Listen, we not talking about who told me about water and grease. I just know that women cheese a pineapple.

SPEAKER_09

Your pussy already tastes good, so imagine if you ate pineapples.

SPEAKER_11

Listen, I ain't trying to be no hoe. So no. I don't even like pineapples because of this. I never got into it because I was told. It's like when they said you a bobblehead, a bobblehead. You know, that's what made a lot of girls not want to do that. So I'm just saying pineapple.

SPEAKER_09

Make girls not want to do what?

SPEAKER_11

Anyways, we're not talking about that.

SPEAKER_09

I don't know what you're talking about.

SPEAKER_11

You get very free-spirited when we talk about that. So we're not gonna talk about that. I'm just saying pineapples, that's what I my unpopular opinion. You know, I don't know if I don't know if a lot of people would agree. Maybe most people won't agree.

SPEAKER_09

So now you're fruit shaming people. I'm not fruit shaming, or it's just what I heard, okay?

SPEAKER_11

Don't be mad at me.

SPEAKER_09

Now you can't eat pineapples while you're at home. That's crazy.

SPEAKER_11

Anyways, if you guys Spongebob home makes you a hoe, I guess so. And if a sh child tells you that she she or he likes Spongebob. So you ain't never had a pineapple bowl. Never. You know I don't like pineapples.

SPEAKER_09

You ain't never had a pineapple bowl.

SPEAKER_11

I don't know. No, every time, every time you go to the club, you ever wonder why they be trying to put pineapple in your drink because they want the hoe to come out of you.

SPEAKER_09

I don't think it's the pineapple that makes the hoe come out of you. Okay.
